SEO Settings for LinkedIn Articles & Newsletters
In this episode I explore the SEO settings for LinkedIn Articles & Newsletters and answer a question about how to use the LinkedIn Profile Video feature. Please note – since recording this episode the LinkedIn Profile Video Feature has been deactivated.
How to activate the SEO Settings for LinkedIn Articles & Newsletters
You can customise your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) titles and descriptions to control how your newsletters and articles show up on search engines and make it easier for others to find your content. The examples below are from my LinkedIn Newsletter.
In a published or draft LinkedIn newsletter or article, click on Publishing Menu, then Settings to access the feature.
SEO Settings for LinkedIn Articles & Newsletters
SEO title: LinkedIn will use your added SEO title in place of your article title for search engine result pages, such as Google search.
SEO description: LinkedIn will use the SEO description in place of the first few lines of your article on search engine result pages. LinkedIn suggests utilising keywords, summarising your writing, and aiming to write between 140-160 characters.
